This Book Brings Your Memories Back With Great Style!!

I'm two years older than Tom Henderson. He brought me back to memories of growing up in Nashville that I'd forgotten and have savored because of his unquestioned talent in documenting great memories. His style is great. This is a MUST READ. I knew many of the musicians mentioned in Chapter 22 because I played in combos from age 15 to 22. But I also knew some of the beautiful girls mentioned and a guy I worked with and went to High School with, Terry "Uno" Gwynn. I could probably ramble on and on about this book but I'll just say that wherever you grew up - Nashville or not - the memories Tom shares will lead you to memories long forgotten of an absolutely perfect time to be a little kid and a teenager. If you are 60 or older, you yourself a favor. Buy your favorite libation; sit down with the book; sip away and let your mind enjoy the fabulous journey back to the days of your youth. No kids today are having the fun we did and it's a terrible shame that this time is gone... except through Tom's prose. Buy the book and savor every memory!!!

Tom hit the nail on the head with this one. If you enjoy nostalgia of days gone and grew up in the Nashville area during the 1940s - 1970s then this book is a must have. In current times it is too easy to forget what life was like not that long ago, but thanks to Tom you can relive a time of innocence, fun, family and small city settings and happenings like they were yesterday. You will thank him later after reading the stories he put so much time and effort into for all of us to enjoy in this book. All I can say now is "Thank You, Tom".

What a FANTASTIC collection of memories

What a FANTASTIC collection of memories! I grew up in a small town in Alabama and thought I had great memories. I envy all of you who lived what Tom wrote about. Even though I was not there with you, I felt as though I was by your side as I read Tom's book. What a delightful memory Tom has for details. Every person over 60 should read this book. It will make you remember those glorious days of the fifties and sixties even if you were somewhere besides Nashville. As Bob Hope said Tom: " THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES."
