If the last, some sins of all men, then all men have some sins to answer for, and so no man shall be saved. If the second, that is it which we affirm, that Christ in their stead . . . suffered all the sins of all the elect in the world. If the first, why, then, are not all freed from the punishment of all their sins? You will say, ‘Because of their unbelief; they will not believe.’ But this unbelief, is it a sin, or not? If not, why should they be punished for it? If it be, then Christ underwent the punishment due unto it, or not. If so, then why must that hinder them more than their other sins for which He died? . . . If He did not, then He did not die for all their sins.” (John Owen, ca. 1650)

This book is very will written and plain. It shows that the Salvation that is in and through the person Of Jesus Christ was not something made just possible, but a Salvation that is complete and free and definite for His people!

It is wonderful to see this little book back in print again

It is wonderful to see this little book back in print again. It has few equals as a concise, handy treatment of the Biblical position on Christ's atoning work. A good entree before tackling Owen's Death of Death, but especially good to give to anyone vacillating between 4 and 5 points! Good to see that I can now replace my dog-eared copy which has been so helpful to others over the years
