When we got the RVing bug, we were total Newbies. We'd never had an RV, a camper or even a tent for that matter! Now we are experienced RVers who lived and traveled full-time in our Class C that we named the Dreamcatcher. About the Author
Throughout more than 30 years together, Dick (aka RVPainter) and Melissa (aka DW) have supported each other's artistic, creative and lifestyle dreams, including their dream to live and travel full-time in an RV. They sold their home, got an RV and hit the road, covering more than 10,000 miles through the U.S. and Canada over the course of a year. Now they are delighted to share their insights in this book, with the hope that it will encourage even more people to realize their RV dreams. Secor is an artist who paints in acrylic with brush and palette knife. For most of his life, though, he worked for banks in computer and facilities management. Thankfully, he managed to escape those dreary days and took up painting at the age of 54. Goodwin is the author of two highly-acclaimed young adult novels, The Christmas Village and Return to Canterbury. She has been published extensively in children's and national magazines and won a Writer's Digest Annual Poetry Competition Award in 2010. She is currently working on her next novel.

I didn't know a lot about RV’ing, but JR and Melissa give a good primer on many of the handy hints and potential pitfalls of beginner RVers, with many personal examples and tips, served up with enjoyable style and tongue-in-cheek humor. I recommend this book if you’re starting out with RV’ing, or just thinking about it!

It's a fun read and has practical advice for travelers

I am not an RVer, and bought this book as a gift for a friend. It's a fun read and has practical advice for travelers, no matter the mode of transport. The list of "Don't Leave Home Without It" starts with "sense of humor" which is helpful in all areas of life.

easy to read and just plain fun

Informative, easy to read and just plain fun. It is a great book for all "newbies" to read before even thinking about trying to RV. It points out so many of the things that you would never think about at home. Simple but very important things such as packing, leveling or parking the RV. If you are even just thinking about trying RVing be sure to read this book. Even if you are not planning a trip, the book is just fun to read and learn of Dick and Melissa's adventures.
