Good story, but needs an editor

This is a very good story. However, the author needs to find a good editor. She switches back & forth between tenses, & doesn't punctuate properly. There were comma splices all through the book, among other things. Also, many times, she tells what the characters are thinking, rather than showing by what they say or do. It makes the story less interesting, in my opinion. With good editing, this could be a 5-star story.

another great read. It is clear that Jean is a Christian lady and she brings God's word through her writings. Her characters are wonderful and this book brought out the differences in having things and having God in your life. We learn that all we need is God, He provides us with everything we need. A forgiving heart is important, we should forgive 70 times 7. Being who God wants us to be and being humble at all times will make us more Christ like. Gabby was a lady in all ways and no one was going to change that. Read Jean's books and be uplifted.

Telling, not showing

The story would have been a decent story had it been shown, rather than told. I liked the independent woman who knew what she wanted. The story timeline was a bit hard to keep up with, probably due to the telling style. Felt very disconnected from the characters due to the story style.
Very disappointed at what could have been a good read.
