The name's Aeron Lore. And you are...? Such a pleasure to meet you, sweetheart. Is that a southern accent? Gorgeous.
You f*****g bitch.
Why so surprised? I control a billion dollar fortune. I control the news. Give me five minutes and I'll control you, too. If you could read my mind, you'd probably call me perverted. Unnatural. Manipulative. But I've learned to blend in, to be funny and charming. A predator in a designer suit.
I have no conscience. No shame in taking the things I want. And what I wanted was for Leontine Reeves to sell me her boutique tech firm so I could exploit the f*ck out of it. Maybe exploit the f*ck out of her, too, because desire haunts me in shades of scarlet, and I desire Leo most of all. I never meant for this to be a love story. I fought it kicking and screaming, the same way Leo fought me. Now we're bleeding into each other, making a mess. A chaos. There's no control here. And what do monsters like me do when control leaves the building?
We attack.

About the Author
"I like dysfunction. Broken people who can't fix each other, but fit together because they're missing the same pieces. One of my favourite songs declares, "take the sinner down to feed desire," and that's my MO. I write dirty psychological thrillers with strong elements of dark romance." LIME CRAVEN lives in England with her family. When not writing or reading, she can be found in a swimming pool (moving. Obviously) and is still upset about the passing of Michael Crichton.

LOVED IT
By B&B Book Blog
This was one read that has me still reeling and thinking what did I just read. It is intense, dark, gritty and filled with suspense. Lime Craven did a great job in putting forth a twisted and nail biting read, one that will have you shaking your head and needing a moment to decompress.
It is filled with some heavy topics and for those of you who have triggers, proceed with caution.
One meeting, one look, set into motion a chain of events that would forever alter two people.
A successful powerful rich man, Aeron had the world at his feet, but what he craved was something much more frightening than anyone could fathom. A master of disguise, his public personal was oh so different than his personal one and that right there was what made him who he is was ... dangerous. The troubled boy who would became the modern day monster.
Leo a beautiful smart and successful in her own right woman, walks right into the lions den, fitting considering her name is the French equivalent of lioness. Wanting her company, Aeron sets out to get what he wants, what he wasn't banking on was his fierce need to possess her. That wouldn't be such a problem normally would it, but Aeron is not your typical alpha male and the situation anything but.
The way the author presents the novel is through Aeron's voice and when we delve into the inner workings of this mans mind we see exactly how deviant and sick he is. At times it is a difficult read, when certain subject matters arise and for some it might seem too much but if you continue reading on, you come to realize that there is a purpose to the madness and it is not shock value. The brilliant way we are navigated through the pages of this read was heart pounding, nail biting and revelating. Just when you think you have a handle on the story the author throws in a curve ball, when you get through that a twist then a turn then BAM the ending ..
The relationship between Leo and Aeron is passionate, frightening, intense and dangerous. The way the dance around each other you begin to wonder who is the hunter and who is the prey. Will this couple have a HEA? Will the sociopath begin to feel something for the woman who came into his life and changed him in ways even he never thought possible? Will the past threaten the future or is the past and future one in the same. Then who is the sociopath ?
Get ready for a read that will leave you panting and breathless ... get ready to be introduced to the sociopath.

ok
By Robert Williamson
It’s been described as a dark and gritty and full of suspense and a mind f&ck. I just didn’t feel that when I read it. Somewhere either this book has missed the mark for me or I just didn’t connect with what the author was trying to do.
I have read dark books, and I mean so dark that you want to puke because you don’t know what the f&ck is going to happen to anyone. The author has tried to make something creepy out of something probably a lot of consenting adults do! I can’t go into which bits I mean because I don’t want to be a spoiler moiler!!
I couldn’t connect with the females in this book, yeh I know I’m a male lol but I didn’t feel empathy or sympathy or even a slight bit of compassion for them. Aeron knew what he liked and what he wanted and yes I can see how he was meticulous with every aspect of his life yet I didn’t have any particular feelings towards him either.
This book didn’t really get going until 60% and by that time I was past trying to connect with the characters. There was too much detail about things that didn’t matter and then as the end of the book came close, everything got thrown in to give some kind of conclusion.
The flashbacks were well handled and I liked how the author tried to get us inside Aeron’s head but to be honest, by the time the story got started, I was beginning not to care!
I finished this book, partly because I hate not finishing a book and partly because I wanted to know where the author was going with it all. After getting to the end, I realise that I’d have been quite happy to have stopped reading halfway through.
Sorry, not enough dark, gritty or suspense for me.

This book needs Editing, Editing, Editing- in that order
By Lorraine Joy
I'm rounding up for this rating, it's really more like a 2.7. All 2.7 of those stars are for the aspirational character of the book, not what it actually achieves.
I am not one of those people who normally lets editing affect my review of a book. Editing is expensive and I try to support independent authors by not being overly critical if they can't afford a good editor. In this case, HOWEVER, the editing is so bad it interfered with my ability to follow the story line. There are several sentences in the book that simply do not make sense. Now normally you can put a sentence into context and figure out what the author meant but that brings me to my next problem with this book. The context is extremely confusing. I felt like the author was trying to write three different stories or like you had to be three different people to understand the story that was written. You needed to be one person to keep track of Leo, another to follow Aeron and another to follow the back story on Aeron. At the end, all three of yall need to sit down and compare notes so that you can form one version of what actually happened in this book. That's another way of saying that the plot of this book was all over the place.
The book is ambitious but it reminds you of someone who keeps starting to say something and not finishing their thought. There are several issues which are introduced but never fully resolved or explained. This is especially true regarding Aeron's background which is related to us in flashbacks. There is a suggestion as to how things resolve but I'm not a fan of using my own creativity to finish the story. The author didn't pay me to finish the story, I paid the author to read a story that I thought was written.
For readers of dark romance, I'm not sure this qualifies as dark romance. A dark romance is more than just crazy characters doing crazy things and I don't think this book reached the level of "more."
All in all, if this book is not thoroughly edited, I wouldn't recommend it. It is just too confusing of a read that culminates in a rather abrupt ending.
