Robert Tell's award winning fiction, poetry, columns, articles, and creative non-fiction have appeared in many periodicals. He has a growing catalogue of published books including works of fiction, memoir and poetry. It is a compelling detective novel inspired by a true story. "Nanobe (Harry Grouch Mystery Series #2)" is a hospital based medical thriller based on Tell's years as a hospital CEO and Public Health executive. In "Stradella's Revenge (Harry Grouch Mystery Series #3)," Harry Grouch pursues a serial killer stalking and murdering classical composers to avenge the 1682 assassination of composer, Alessandro Stradella. "Thirsty Planet," a sci-fi novel, is a finalist for the prestigious Montaigne Medal award for thought provoking writing. "Dementia Diary" describes the emotional reality of being a caregiver to a loved one with dementia, and of dealing with caregiver burnout. Robert Tell was born in Brooklyn, New York, and educated at Columbia University. He now lives in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and winters in Boynton Beach, Florida. Tell is grateful that his parents didn't name him "William." He last saw snow in 2004.

An Outstanding Book and Learn Something Substantive In The Bargain

If you are a mystery fan who also likes to read books that educate as well as entertain--this is for you. I read nit on my Kindle and had difficulty putting it down. Harry Grouch is a recurring character in Tell's novels (I suspect more will be forthcoming) but what is extremely interesting in the setting for the book and the education the reader gets concerning hospital politics and various diseases. It is clear that Mr. Tell knows what he is talking about (see Dementia Diary) and to wrap his professional knowledge into a readable (and at times amusing) book is invaluable. I definitely recommend this for the mystery crowd that wants to enjoy an outstanding book and learn something substantive in the bargain

Do you know what a Nanobe is? I didn’t know either, until I read this book. The author, quite obviously, knows his way around hospitals and other health care organizations, and has written a page-turning mystery, full of memorable characters as well as unexpected twists and turns. What is going to happen next, how are Nanobes going to play into the number of strange events taking place at Bard Memorial Hospital? I could not wait to get to the end to find out. Highly recommended.

Nanobe is a very intriguing story that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good mystery! Nanobe held my interest from beginning to end, and it compelled me to keep turning its pages to find out what was going to happen next, and until I learned the outcome. ‘Fascinating characters, eye-opening happenings that occur behind the scenes in hospitals (Mr. Tell obviously did his research!), humor, surprises, romance – Nanobe includes it all !
