Wow, the entire alphabet minus 'Z'

I am currently solving the second puzzle, and so far a "roaming" logic works, where you look for a row, column, or box with the fewest squares, look for twins, triplets, unique occurrences, etc. The more you can eliminate/figure out sooner, the easier the rest of the puzzle becomes. I dread the hardest level, as my pictorial method would have to be done with each letter, but I am sure it is worth the wait. You'll definitely get your money's worth if you can solve 100 of these bad boys.
Also, create blank 25x25 grids to hand-copy the puzzles, sometimes you can do so much erasing that you'll tear the page, and that kinda sucks with 25x25 sudoku book, so I would say be careful, be prepared. The easiest way to start is to go through the alpabet A-Y and eliminate what is in a row, column, or box. the set of letters that is left over is what you use sudoku rules to eliminate from in figuring the "pencil marks", so far it can be 6 or 7 out of 11 letters combinatorially to give you an idea, but there are unique occurrences, twins, triplets, etc too.
The puzzle is just too large not to be solved randomly, unless it is so hard you need a method for keeping track of all that information. It's very easy to make a mistake if you are not careful, and all the mistakes you need to make is ONE lol. Good luck, I highly recommend it!!
