Marci Slade Crestani is a freelance journalist and a former lifestyle columnist for the Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Daily News. Her work has appeared in publications as diverse as The Christian Science Monitor, Bride’s, Popular Woodworking, and Family Circle, among others. Her play Against the Glass was a finalist at the Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Humana Festival of New American Plays and eventually premiered in Los Angeles.

Laughed through it all!

OMG-had to start out with that so I'd sound young even though I'm halfway to dead. A word to the wise in the same age group-make sure you are halfway to the bathroom if you know what I mean! I laughed until I....cried throughout the book. Needless to say, thanks to the author for so many laughs! Reading the stories of her family and friends brought back many fond memories of growing up myself. I can't wait to share the book with all my halfway to dead friends!

A Witty Look at Life after 50

View life from the perspective of an early AARPer! These stories made me smile, laugh and even think about my own perspective on life and aging in a youth-obsessed culture. If there is a lesson to learn, it is not to take yourself or anyone else too seriously. Ms. Crestani has mastered the art of seeing the humor in everything- from thongs to funerals. The perfect gift book for someone celebrating a "big" birthday. Guaranteed smiles!

This book is a hilarious take on getting older. Marci Slade Crestani is a master of story telling. These stories cross over three generation, although aimed at the fifty somethings, it crosses over the authors kids, and parents too. These stories are absolutely hysterical at times, but equally as endearing, and heart warming. Crestani hits it out of the park with this book. Can't wait to share this book with friends and family.
