All of this adds to the exciting and tumultuous journey as Jack and Valerie attempt to solve this most perplexing crime.

but this one is better than the first

Thirty-one years elapsed between the publication of the original Beaver Papers and its sequel. I was expecting the writers to have missed a step. but this one is better than the first! The behind-the-scenes material is more coherent than in the original; a nice storyline emerges, however absurd. And the scripts are absolutely spot-on. If you know where the "pampas" are located, you won't be surprised to learn that June of the Forking Paths, delivered by Jorge Luis Borges, is my favorite of the bunch. But they're all excellent. So if you're just dying to know how the likes of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Flannery O'Connor, and Richard Wright might have written an episode of America's favorite sitcom, this is the book for you. So why 4 stars instead of 5? I guess I just like to reserve five stars for authors like Thomas Mann and Vladimir Nabokov. But come to think of it, this book features those boys as well!

If you are overeducated, over-read, and have an overactive sense of the absurd, this book was written specifically for you. When "Leave It To Beaver" was cancelled in 1963, dozens of the greatest literary figures of the era submitted outlines for new episodes, each in his (or her) own distinctive style, in the hopes of inspiring an additional season. Did this actually happen, or are all the pieces in this book simply the brainchildren of Jacobs and Jones' fevered imaginations? This second helping of these perfectly-voiced literary parodies features the idiosyncratic styles and obsessive themes of authors ranging from giants such as Nabokov and Fitzgerald to cult favorites like Elmore Leonard and Philip K. Dick, to name just a few. Rivaling the outlines are the interstitial pieces "documenting" the trials and tribulations the cast and crew of the show faced in attempting to revive their sitcom in any way possible -- TV, radio and the stage are no-brainers...but a Civil Defense film? A Stan Lee comic book? This framing device is brilliant -- as brilliant in its own way as the obvious intelligence that went into the literary pieces. Get this one now, then go back and read the first volume. You'll never watch a rerun of the show -- or read a classic piece of literature -- the same way again.

It's keeping a good pace

It's getting to the point in the story where there is a lot more in play than our two protagonists thought there was. During a visit to a prison cell in order to confirm or deny whether or not some chummy soul is possessed, the protagonists have a very close encounter with him. This encounter reveals that a lot more is in play and likely at stake than the two could have previously imagined.

It's good. Yes, I know that the possessed and exorcism is a tired story line, but the Kirkman crew is doing a good job. I for one am very excited to find out why the Outcast is actually referred to as such. I'm also excited to see how the big baddies of the demon world (if they truly are the stereotypical demons we know and love) shape up in strength and intimidation against the protagonists.

This is actually starting to feel like a low key version of Preacher. It's a bit nice, and I look forward to seeing how the rest of the storyline goes.

About the Author
Sharon Lane is one of God’s special daughters, and she is proud to say that she has a lot of insight that comes directly from Him. She was born with a respectable and humble spirit. For someone with only a high school diploma, she has done many things. But it’s only through God’s grace that she has been able to do all that she has done. In 2012, Sharon wrote her first article on education, and it was published in the Waukesha News Stands. She was then led to write her auto-biography, with no knowledge of how to write a book. She is the producer of the documentary Why We Do What We Do, which was shown at the 2010 Langston Hughes Film Festival. In spite of it all, she was able to turn her life around from being a stripper to becoming a responsible citizen in her church and her community. God showed her the right way. She believes in giving a second chance in life. Sharon lives in Seattle with her two kids, grandkids, and her mother.

From Rags to Redemption, an Inspiring Memoir

This inspiring memoir takes us along with the author from near hell on a path toward heaven.

Sharon Lane grew up poor, black, ill-educated, verbally and sexually and physically abused, yet she has turned her life around, primarily through a faith in God. Her book is testimony to the power of such faith, even as it shows that often those who profess to believe in Christ violate the basic tenets of Christianity.

As depressing as the story of her early life is, her success in getting an education, a high school diploma in her 40s, shedding her "career" as a stripper, and re-uniting elements of her family is encouraging.

Ms. Lane's book is not politically correct. The tragedies she and her family members experienced in her first thirty years had little to do with racial discrimination, and were mostly caused by an underclass culture that devalued women, accepted promiscuity and infidelity and irresponsibility. Poverty and discrimination were not the causes of such failure. At the same time in America, families in poor Jewish or Asian communities encouraged upward mobility, responsibility, respect for others, and produced subsequent generations that were above-average in their levels of accomplishment. Middle-class values help poor people attain middle-class results, at least.

It does not "take a village" to rear children well. It preferably takes parents in an intact marriage, a work ethic, the valuing of achievement and education, and...in some cases...the guidance and solace offered by religion.

Her writing is clear, generally grammatically correct, the minor deficiencies outweighed by the value of her messages. This is a message memoir, written to raise our understanding of the causes of underclass failure and to inspire the readers, especially those now in trouble, to get help in pulling themselves up. In Ms. Lane's case, that help was primarily through religion.

From rags to redemption, from stripper to memoirist, Sharon Lane has taken a journey few others have or could, and now she has illuminated the path for others needing help.

The memoir was published using Smashwords and was free for the #kindle when I obtained it. What a bargain!

I have to say that I am glad that my mother (Sharon Lane) is still standing strong today. She went through alot of negative experiences in her life and now she is speaking out to help other young women just like her. She is sending out a very positive message, no matter what you go through in life remain positive and dont give up.

I found this memoir such an inspiration! My admiration to Ms. Lane and all she her accomplishments are endless.
She is a wonderful person who has been blessed from Above. I'm so glad she has finally gotten the credit she deserves and I feel deeply blessed to have read her book.

Loved it

FINALLY, a book with a heroine who didn't just go along with whatever the hero said. I loved Flora. She was the kind of character that every normal woman is. She wasn't one of those stupid annoying girls who whines about being forced into something that she can damn well say no to. Flora stood up for herself, but she also wasn't one of those other heroines who stupidly thinks she can do big things all by herself. I loved the whole book, it was exactly the kind of story you want to read.

I Loved this book! Usually most heros in all harlequin book are tough and somtimes the heroines are just as strong....but this book was so wonderfully passionate on both sides! Heroin was awesome! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

I love Lynne Graham and I really enjoyed this story. It was good as I expected, but somewhat different from what I know of Ms. Graham's story. It was very entertaining and had more of a male spin included. Again when I completed I thought it was Good and Cute!

Another excellent installment from Mr. Larlham. A interesting collection of life's stories told by a genuine storyteller. Chapter 31 is the story of a serviceman at Love Field and it will make you cry and smile. And the best part is that this book is perfect for busy people like me to read short chapters as time permits.

Works as a play... and as haiku! Perfect for those whose attention spans top-out at 17 syllables. Bob's sense of humor is a delight, while he still catches the gist of Hamlet.

An interesting idea well done

This must have taken a fair amount of time to work out. This is a good quick overview of Hamlet that keeps the poetry of the original text. I almost laughed out loud when Rosencrantz and Guildenstern names alone took a whole line. Good job, sir.
