I believe the name is R O N N Y...

Ronny is a senior adult pastor at West University Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He has a passion for ministry and is notorious for his east Texas jargon and practical jokes. This book is a collection of articles he wrote for his column in the church paper. They include down home fun, humorous stories and life lessons with a painless dose of spirituality. Great book for senior adults who will relate to many of the anecdotes.

This is a great read! Wonderful and humorous with a spiritual application on every story. Great stories from ministerial career of Ronny Barner who has been in the same church for over 50 years. He has a lot of wisdom to uplift and amuse.

You will not be disappointed when you read Ronny’s new book

You will not be disappointed when you read Ronny’s new book. I was not only delighted and enlightened with the wisdom that he generously sprinkled in each personal narrative but I was also entertained by the profusion of Ronny’s folksy humor in each descriptive sketch.
The book is a collection of short articles that Ronny compiled during the 1995 to 2014 portion of his ministry. One of the characteristics of his book that delights the reader is the atmosphere created in each vignette. The ambience draws you into the scene and whets the appetite and curiosity for more of his wisdom and humor. To put it in simple terms, “It’s hard to put the book down.” Ronny has very skillfully woven his native sagacity into each article with a concluding spiritual concept…..which is in turn supported by a scripture…..and he never fails to give you the chapter and verse.
So, if you are a reader who enjoys whimsical hilarity combined with wisdom and spiritual depth, this is the book for you. I heartily recommend it “for all that ails you.” Have a glass of buttermilk, read a few chapters of Ronny’s book and you will likely go to bed with a smile on your face.
